MISTLETOES

Mistletoes is on November 26th at TCU Place. Doors open at 6:00 pm. Dinner at 7:00 pm. Dancing 8:30 – 1:00 am. Coat check is $2.00. Music by the Don Griffith orchestra and routines will be performed. You are strongly advised to leave home early to arrive at Mistletoes on time. Multiple events are held at TCU Place and the area on this same evening. Parking in the area can be difficult and is expensive in the Mid-Town lot. This week is your last opportunity to pick up tickets you ordered in class for Mistletoes.

Please honour your original reservation choice the night of the dance.

BDC GENERAL MEETING AND ELECTION

The General Meeting of the Club will be held on Wednesday November 30 at 7:00 pm, U of S Campus, Arts 133. Please consider attending, running for an Executive position and supporting your Club. Executive member duties are posted on the Club website.

ICE CRYSTAL BALL

The Ice Crystal Ball will be held on Saturday January 14 in Manitou Beach at Danceland. Ticket order forms will be available for pick up in class until November 24th and on the Club website until December 4th. Order forms and payment must be dropped off at either Mistletoes, the General Meeting or they can be mailed to the Club by December 5th. Tickets will be returned by mail if you include a self addressed, stamped envelope with your order. You may also pick up your tickets in class from January 8-12th. Transportation

Limited return tickets are available on a tour bus to the Ice Crystal Ball. Order your return bus ticket on your ICB dance ticket order form at a cost of $22.00.

Accommodation

NEW CLASSES IN JANUARY

Beginner Half Class

The Club will be offering a term two Beginner half class on Tuesdays from 5:45-6:45 pm at St. Joes for non-members of the Club at a cost of $30 for students and $40 for non-students. Registration will be available in person on January 7th, 2012, from 1-4 pm, St. Joes Hall, lower level, located on the corner of 8th and Broadway beside the St. Joes church.

If spaces remain after late registration, current members of the Club may register for this class. If you are a current member of the Club and wish to register with a non member you will be able to do so after in person registration is over, space permitting. Our website will be updated after in person registration to announce if there are any available beginner spaces and where you can go to register.

Intermediate or Advanced class

Registration in a intermediate or advanced class is available only to previous members of the Club who were unable to register for a class in the fall. Anyone joining must have danced at least one full year at the level they wish to register in. Anyone registering for an existing class will not be given any extra instruction in terms of getting caught up with the curriculum already taught in term 1. The following classes have selected spaces available: Advanced class 17 on Thursdays at 8 pm, St. Joes; Intermediate class 3 on Sunday at 4:15 pm, Field House; Intermediate class 5 on Mondays at 8:30 pm, GPUC; and Intermediate class 10 at 7pm on Tuesday, GPUC. Cost to join an intermediate class is $40 for students and $50 for non-students. Cost to join an advanced class is $50 for students and $60 for non-students. Registration for an existing class is available by mail in registration, postmarked by December 13th or you can attend the in-person registration on January 7th, 2012, from 1-4, St. Joes Hall, lower level.
