2011–12 Week 20

MEMBER SATISFACTION SURVEY

Thank-you to those members who completed the online survey during the past 2 weeks. Your feedback is valuable and will be reviewed by our Executive Committee over the coming months. We had a 40% response rate from our members. The winner of the random ticket draw for a pair of Dancero 2012 tickets is Mithila from class 3.

FORMER MEMBER SURVEY

Within the next week, Insightrix Research will send out a survey to former members of the Club. If you know anyone who is no-longer a Club member, please assist us by letting them know they will be receiving a former member survey in their inbox. Insightrix Research will provide one $50 cash incentive for completion of the survey. The $50 will be awarded to one former member who completes the survey.

DANCERO

The last Club dance of the season is Dancero, held at TCU Place on March 24th, 2012. Doors open at 6pm, dinner at 7pm, dancing from 8:30-1:00am. Coat-check $2.00. This is your last opportunity to pick up tickets you ordered in class for Dancero.

Online ticket sales are over. No tickets will be sold at the door.

Seating for dance only tickets is in the non-reserved dance only section. Your tickets allow you to enter the auditorium at 8:30 pm.

Please honor your original reservation choice on the evening of the dance or you will be asked to move.

To allow our event to start on time we urge our members who purchased dinner/dance tickets to leave home early to arrive at Dancero on time. Multiple events are held at TCU Place and in the area on this same evening, making parking in the area difficult.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

Your opinion counts. Please attend our Annual General Meeting on Wednesday April 25th, 7pm, U of S Campus, Arts 133.

CLUB VOLUNTEERS

Thank-you to the 70 plus volunteers who assisted with Club activities this year. We couldn’t do what we do without you. For those volunteers who contributed more than four hours to Club activities, watch your email in April for you invitation to our Volunteer Appreciation night.

FALL REGISTRATION VOLUNTEERS

The Club relies on our sixty plus members to assist us with fall registration. If you are able to donate a few hours or a day please either email our volunteer coordinator at usbdcvolunteers@gmail.com or provide the Club with your contact email address on the yellow volunteer forms available in class. Please check your spam in August to ensure you are able to receive email from our volunteer coordinator. We require volunteers to put up posters around campus and the city, register members and complete data entry of the registration forms.

PERSONAL BELONGINGS

Please be watchful of any personal belongings and valuables that you bring with you to dance class or Club events.

THIS IS YOUR LAST CLASS OF THE DANCE YEAR!

We are excited to have you join the Club again next year. You have the choice of either staying in the same level to build your confidence or moving on to the next level to enjoy the challenge of new dance technique and patterns. If you are still gaining confidence with patterns at your current level you are invited to consider a second year at that level. Dancing is the most fun when you are confident and able to dance without your brain on overload. If you are unsure of which level you should register in please discuss this with your instructors.

Beginner half class members are invited to register in a beginner’s class in the fall.

FALL REGISTRATION

Check out our website in August for our details on our fall class schedule and registration dates/time/locations.
