HARVEST SWING

We hope everyone who attended Harvest Swing enjoyed themselves. If you have a comment about the dance please email the Club, leave a message on the Club’s answering machine or fill out a green feedback form in class. Thanks to our Social Coordinator, Lydia Howell, and our Decorations Coordinator, Kristy James, and other Club volunteers who assisted with organizing and decorating for this event.

NEW VICE-PRESIDENT

The Executive would like to thank Doug Daniels who has stepped forward to volunteer as your new Vice President.

PRESIDENT, SOCIAL COORDINATOR, and GENERAL MEMBER AT LARGE REQUIRED

All members, including newer members, are invited to run for any position on the Executive. Please consider allowing your name to stand for one of the above three positions. Brief details on the duties of each Executive member are available on our Club website. For additional information please contact the Club and the appropriate Executive member will return your inquiry.

TERM 1 MEMBER CLUB WORKSHOP

The Club’s first member workshops will be held on Saturday October 27 and Sunday October 28, 2012 at Holliston School. Tango will be taught at all levels, by our Principal Instructor Michael Milette. This year there is a fee of $5.00 to attend each workshop, to a maximum of $30.00 to attend all six workshops. As this workshop is ONLY for Club members you must present your member card to attend. The sessions on Sunday will be the same as those on Saturday, but the times and sequence of levels differ. You may not transfer your membership to allow another person to take your place at the workshop.

Nancy’s Dancin' from Regina will be available to sell dance shoes during the workshops.

The results of the Club member survey by Insightrix Research Inc. are available. Please email ballroom.dance@usask.ca or call 652-2575 if you wish to receive a copy.

MISSING A DANCE CLASS

Should you happen to miss a dance class or two do not fret! Talk to your instructor or dance partner, to help you catch up in class. You are always welcome even if you are a little bit behind, we are all here to help and have some fun.

BEGINNER CLASSES ONLY:

SAVE THE DATE

Beginner’s Only Dance November 3rd, 7pm, St. Joes Hall. This dance is organized to allow our beginner members the opportunity to practice their dance moves with other beginner members in an informal dance setting. Fee of $5.00 payable at the door, membership card must be presented to attend.
