February 2 and 3, Holliston School, 1511 Louise Ave. Workshop sessions will be taught by our Principal Instructor Michael Milette. Club instructors will be in attendance to assist. There is a fee of $5.00 for each workshop attended. As this workshop is for Club members only, you must present your member card to attend. You may not transfer your membership to allow another person to take your place at the workshop.

Saturday and Sunday sessions are the same, but the times and sequences of levels differ.

Nancy’s Dancin' from Regina will be available to sell dance shoes during the workshops.


February 9th, TCU Place, 8:30pm-midnight. This is your last week to purchase tickets in class. NEW for this dance: student ticket price with valid student id.

New volunteers are required to assist with Club events and functions. Our Club is able to run due to the efforts of all of our volunteers. Volunteers also assist in keeping your membership and event fees low.

Benefits to volunteering include self-satisfaction, socializing with other Club members; and if the minimum volunteer time is reached, an invitation to our spring volunteer appreciation event and an opportunity to register in advance of the general public for a dance class in the fall.

The Club’s volunteer benefits policy is available online and at your class location. Sign-up sheets are also available in class or you can email our Club Volunteer Coordinator at usbdcvolunteers@gmail.com.


Dance Team is still accepting leads and couples. Register a few minutes in advance of the next Dance Team class on January 23rd, 2013, Grosvenor Park United Church, 8:45pm. Fee is $75 which includes the cost of registering for this class, and admission to the dinner and dance at Dancero. You must bring your membership card and payment in order to register. Dance this term is East Coast Swing. To register for dance team you must have completed one full year of our intermediate program.

Members of Dance Team must be prepared to attend all or most of the classes, as well as some extra practice sessions immediately before Dancero.

Advanced CLASSES Only- Instructor Recruitment:

Each year advanced dancers are invited to try out to become an instructor for the Club. A recruitment workshop will be held at ACC at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 10th, 2013. Advanced students with an interest in teaching are encouraged to considered trying out. Information letters and application forms are available on the Club website, under the class and tickets and forms tabs.

Consider attending the recruitment session or encourage a friend to, who you observe to be a skilled dancer. Please email your application to the Club at ballroom.dance@usask.ca as soon as possible, but no later than February 7th, 2013, so that we may plan for the expected numbers.
