Holiday Break All Levels
The last day of classes before the break for the holidays is Thursday, November 21st, 2019. Classes will resume in the new year starting on Sunday, January 5th, 2020.

A member of the executive will be attending the last week of classes for the termed beginner classes to register members interested in participating in term 2.
General registration for these classes will start in mid-December.
Night Club Specialty Workshop All Levels
Our specialty workshop for term one will be Night Club Two Step taught by Bernadette and Don. Hosted on Saturday, November 16th, 2019 at Trinity Orthodox Hall.
Cost is $5 per session. Cash only. Members Only. Please arrive 20 minutes early to register with your member card and bring clean indoor shoes for the dance floor. Sessions are 1 hour and 30 minutes each with a 15 minute break between sessions.

Our social dance for November will be held on Saturday, November 16th, 2019 at Trinity Orthodox Hall. Please remember clean dancing shoes and your member card.

Mistletoes Formal Dance All Levels
Mistletoes will be held on Saturday, November 23rd, 2019 at TCU Place. This is our formal dinner and dance ending term one before the holiday break. Prepaying for admission can be done in class via the forms available in class or through our website. There is Dinner and Dance or Dance Only options; please ensure you indicate which class table you would like to sit with or it will default to one of the classes you are registered in.
We will be offering the option to pay at the door for the dance only between 7:30pm and 8:30pm at the price of $30. There will be no option to pay at the door for Dinner and Dance admission. Paying at the door will be cash only as TCU staff will be administering this for us.

Keeping up with Club Events

Our first practice session (which is term one only) will be held Thursdays at Nutana Legion from 6:30pm till 7:30pm.
Our second practice session will be held Thursdays at Grosvenor Park United Church from 7:45pm till 8:45pm.
Practice sessions start the second week of classes (Thursday, September 19th, 2019).

There is nothing to worry about if you have to miss a class. Attending the next weeks class for your session is the best way to catch up on what you missed.
Keep Personal Effects on You
Please bring your shoes and personal effects in with you and not left unattended in waiting areas. This is for security of your personal belongings.
Please make sure that you have a clean, dry pair of non-marking shoes to use in classes and at our events and dances.
- Remove dirty outdoor shoes before entering the dance floor.
- Avoid putting dirty shoes on chairs or other furniture.
- Scrape dust from dance shoes into garbage bins; and never on the dance floors.
Your membership card is the easiest way to register for check in to club events. Make sure to have it on you or have a picture of it on your phone.
When you register for our events; the confirmation e-mail sent out is your guarantee that a registration went through. Make sure to contact the club if you do not receive an e-mail for a class or formal dance you registered for.
If you are finding the time of your class or level of your class is not working out, you are able to put in a transfer request. Class transfer requests are subject to both executive and instructor approval and there are no refunds for transferring to a lower level class. More information at: https://uofsbdc.link/class-transfer
