Alert!

Effective immediately all upcoming events including classes, Dancero, and our AGM are cancelled. We have also decided to cancel our April and May monthly dances. The health of our members is the most important thing to us. And in light of the most recent announcement from the Chief Medical Health Officer we felt this was the best decision going forward.

We will do our best to reschedule should that become an option but for now, Dancero tickets will be refunded automatically to credit card. If you paid via cash or cheque, please be patient with us as we work through the refunds. We will contact you via email to arrange your refund.

No refunds will be issued for the last 2 weeks of class.

We thank you for your understanding and patience. And hope that every one of our members stays in the best of health. We will keep every one updated via email and social media of upcoming events during the summer and about our new classes in the fall.

Sincerely,

Your Executive Committee

Social dances are some of the most fun you will have in the U of S BDC. To make sure everyone has a safe and enjoyable time, here are some things to keep in mind: What do I Wear? For our non-dinner (Harvest Swing and Winter Warm-up) and dinner dances (Mistletoes, Ice Crystal Ball, and Dancero) this gives you the opportunity to dress up as fancy as you would like. We have seen everything from coat and tails to dress pants and a nice shirt, and floor length formal gowns to fun cocktail dresses.

FootwareMany people enter Ballroom Dancing thinking they need to buy a specific type of shoe. This is not the case. For our classes, as long as your shoe is comfortable, clean (no outdoor shoes please), and doesn't leave marks on the floor, it doesn't matter if it's a sneaker or a fancy dance shoe.
